Closing international conference
On 26 February 2021, the Closing International Conference of the Project Upskilling Pathways: New opportunities for work-skills development for adults in Republic of Serbia. Part of the participants followed the conference via Zoom, while the others were present at the Hilton Hotel.
The closing conference was aimed at the summary of key project activities and presentation of the Action Plan, which was the final product of the activities. Apart from the participants from Serbia, the conference included representatives from the European Union, as well as colleagues from Greece and Italy, who are involved in the same topic and have implemented or are currently implementing similar projects.
Thus, besides the presentation of the coordinator on realized project tasks, the representative of Ipsos Research Agency presented key observation based on the findings of the secondary and primary research conducted for the Project. Then, the representative of the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation spoke about the minimal set of standards in the areas of language literacy, numeracy and digital knowledge and skills, while the representatives of the Branko Pesic Elementary School related the most important findings and experiences gained during training implementation and work with trainees, as well as recommendations for further work with the target group. At the end, experts on the Project explained in detail the Action Plan, which is the result of the work on Project and which gave guidelines and recommendations for policy makers when it comes to further work on this topic. Additionally, a printed version of the Action Plan was distributed to the participants.
